The idea for “Bach in Bali” was born, when Robert Brown was warming up before a rehearsal for the Bali Arts Festival. While playing Bach, a student from Denpasar who was helping with the lights, spontaneously began dancing to his music. Robert Brown presented the idea to Nyoman Sura whose work he admires. Robert Brown: “I thought that putting together Sura with great music would foster great art. I also thought this would help make Bach´s music more accessible.”
